26 teams from across the country are participating in the tournament.
The 69th Women’s Senior National Kabaddi Championship is set to be held from 23-26 March at Shri Krishna Group of Institutions in Mahendergarh, Haryana. The tournament is organized by AKFI (Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India) and AKAH (Amateur Kabaddi Association of Haryana). A total of 26 teams have been divided into 8 groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage. The group stage will be held on the 23rd and 24th March, meanwhile, the knockouts will be conducted on the 25th and 26th March.
Powerhouse and reigning champions Himachal Pradesh will look to defend their title after defeating Indian Railways (33-31) in the final (2022 edition).
This will also serve as an important tournament for the players ahead of the 2022 Asian Games. Marshall Sports has announced a kabaddi league soon for women as well so performing at the National Championships will be key.
